We are recognized for our ability to develop, design, commercialize and integrate a wide range of process technologies and perform project work that ranges from small consulting studies to large EPC projects. Our integration with Shaw’s pipe and steel fabrication capabilities, hands-on management approach and focus on safety and quality allow our customers to meet their goals.
From six fully integrated operating centers around the world, all ISO 9001 certified, we deliver our technologies and services through five business lines:
Olefins – Shaw’s ethylene plants have a worldwide reputation for exceptionally high operational reliability, rapid startup and superior performance. Since our first ethylene plant was built in 1941, we have designed and/or built more than 120 grassroots units.
Refining – Our broad range of technology and experience helps our customers address their refinery needs, from improving cracking margins to producing petrochemicals from the bottom of the barrel. We are a world leader in the application of fluidized catalytic cracking (FCC) technology, having licensed more than 45 FCC grassroots units and performed more than 180 revamps that include modifications to each of our competitor’s technology designs.
Petrochemicals – We are a full-service provider of technology, EPC, commissioning, startup, operations and maintenance services to petrochemical complexes worldwide. Our services support all stages of a project, from conceptual development to sustaining the total business asset. Through our Weymouth Research Center, we offer a wide range of services for process development, commercialization and modernization, many with alliance partners. The list includes proprietary technologies in the styrenics and phenolics petrochemical chains through our Badger Licensing LLC joint venture.
Upstream – Our legacy of oil and gas experience includes projects from conceptual design through project management consultancy, all geared to meet the global demand for clean energy. Our experienced staff understands project execution and effective and safety delivery of EPC projects that include oil and gas production facilities, gas processing, transmission and storage, and syngas.
Consulting – Founded in Boston more than 100 years ago, our premier consulting group, Shaw Consultants International, has become highly regarded and has earned a reputation for excellence. This group offers consulting and advisory services to the energy, power, process, petrochemical, refining and government industry segments, as well as to the investment and financial community.
